WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will feature homemade baked chicken, salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. each Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; and shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for those 5 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts call (330) 654-5630. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at 330-788-0025 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

VFW Post 5532, 575 S. County Road, Washingtonville, will have a fish fry from 3 to 8 p.m. The menu will feature a choice of haddock, chicken nuggets or fried shrimp. Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park Road S.W., Newton Falls, will serve stuffed pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade dessert, bread, coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under. Takeouts meals are $6 each; for a family of four the cost is $20. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will have an all-you-can-eat breakfast/brunch from 7 to 10 a.m. Featured will be eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. St. Patrick Church, 225 N. Main St., Hubbard, will have a spaghetti dinner from noon to 3 p.m. in the handicap-accessible church hall. Meals are $6 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 10 and free for those 5 and under. Carryouts will be available.

St. Paul Altar Guild will sponsor a homemade spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at the handicap-accessible church hall, state Route 170, New Middletown. The cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and under.

Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under.

Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church will serve spaghetti dinners from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. The all-you-can-eat meals are $6 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under. There will be a basket raffle and 50-50 drawing.

Sulmona Valley Club is serving cavatelli dinners from noon to 4 p.m. at 92 S. Bridge St., Struthers. Meals, which cost $7, include meatballs, bread, salad and dessert. Carryouts will be available.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, is selling takeout stuffed cabbage for $15 a dozen or $7.50 a half-dozen. To order call 330-755-6340. Pickup will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church social hall. Proceeds will benefit building renovations in preparation for Holy Trinity’s 100th anniversary celebration.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell, is taking orders for homemade haluski from 9 a.m. to noon today, and pickup will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. The cost is $5 a quart.

St. Mary Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders at 330-792-1578 until Friday for stuffed cabbage to be picked up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $15 per dozen.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for carryout stuffed cabbage. The cost is $12 for a dozen. Patrons can provide their own containers and save the $1.25 fee for containers provided by the club. Place orders by calling 330-792-5124 by Thursday. Pickup will be March 4 and 5 at the club.

UPCOMING

Boardman United Methodist Preschool and Child Care Center, 6809 Market St., Boardman, will have its annual “Psghetti Dinner” from 4 to 7 p.m. March 3. Tickets for dining in or carryout meals are $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. There will be a silent auction for gift baskets containing gift certificates and merchandise from area businesses and a Scholastic Book Fair.

Knights of Columbus, Girard Council 2935, will host an Amish dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 26 at their hall, 122 S. State St., Girard. Price of the dinners will be $15 for adults, $7 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under. Dinners include roast beef, baked chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade bread, green beans, coleslaw, dessert and beverages. The Home Company of the Council is sponsoring the event.
