Lunch with governor Thursday being moved to new site

YOUNGSTOWN

A Thursday luncheon that was to be held at a Howland restaurant with Gov. John Kasich is being relocated at the request of his staff.

Kasich was to speak at a Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber luncheon at noon Thursday at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland.

But Thomas Humphries, chamber president and chief executive officer, said today that Kasich’s staff requested it be relocated.

Humphries said he didn’t ask why the staff wanted the event elsewhere.

A Kasich spokesman couldn’t be reached late today by The Vindicator for comment.

A final location will be announced Wednesdasy, Humphries said.
