Hockey fans can support The Youngstown Playhouse by buying a ticket to the March 4 Youngstown Phantoms game at Covelli Centre. Four dollars out of every $10 ticket purchased for the game will be earmarked for the Playhouse.
The tickets can be purchased by calling 330-747-7825 (you must mention the Playhouse). The team plays the Fargo (N.D.) Force at 7:30 p.m. that day.
‘Crucible’ curtain time at YSU theater

Youngstown State University Theater will stage “The Crucible” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, March 4 and 5. An incorrect time was given in an article about the play in Monday’s Vindicator. Matinees will be at 3 p.m. Sunday and March 6. Call 330-941-3105 for reservations.
Museum seeks vote on video games
WASHINGTON
The Smithsonian American Art Museum is asking the public to help select video games that will be included in its first exhibit to explore the art and visual effects of gaming.
The exhibit, “The Art of Video Games,” is scheduled to open in March 2012 with a focus on the evolution of games as an artistic medium over the past 40 years.
The public can vote online through April 7. Voters can choose 80 games from a pool of 240 choices in various categories.
The games on the site were chosen for their graphic appeal, artistic intent and innovative game designs. Results will be posted in May.
The winning games will be displayed at the museum next year as screen shots or short video clips.
Japanese drum troupe in concert

Kodo, the traditional Japanese drummers and performers from Sado Island, will come to the Byham Theater, downtown, at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday and March 2.
