MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Feb. 23: Roasted pork loin, seasoned potatoes, oriental veggies, unsweetened applesauce, wheat bread with honey, fig bar, sugar free cookie and milk.

Thursday, Feb. 24: Barbecue chicken strips, vegetarian baked beans, sliced carrots, unsweetened pears, wheat bread with margarine, gelatin cup and milk.

Friday, Feb. 25: Meatloaf with gravy, Tater Tots, ketchup pack, Normandy vegetable blend, orange juice, wheat bread with honey, and milk.

Saturday, Feb. 26: Turkey bologna with cheese on a hamburger bun with mustard/mayo, tossed salad, carrot raisin salad, fresh orange and milk.

Monday, Feb. 28: Charbroiled chicken breast on a whole wheat bun, corn or green beans, unsweetened peaches, pretzels and skim milk.

Tuesday, March 1: Meatballs and noodles with sauce, brussels sprouts, mandarin oranges, wheat bread with jelly, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.

Wednesday, Feb. 23: Tossed salad with french dressing, tuna salad, three bean salad, diced peaches, wheat bread with margarine and milk.

Thursday, Feb. 24: Chicken breast patty on a hamburger bun with mayo packet, green beans, cauliflower, orange and milk.

Friday, Feb. 25: Beef stew, rice, yellow beans, corn muffin, pears and milk.

Monday, Feb. 28: Stuffed pepper with sauce, mashed potatoes, corn O’Brien, wheat bread with margarine, unsweetened fruit mix and milk.

Tuesday, March 1: Not available.
