Welshes’ 50th is celebrated with luncheon

The family of William and Catherine Welsh of Poland helped to celebrate the couple’s 50th anniversary Feb. 5 with a luncheon for invited guests at the Springfield Grille in Boardman.

Hosts for the event were the couple’s sons and their wives, Dr. Daniel and Jennifer Welsh of Jamestown, N.Y., and Dr. Gregory and Joan Welsh of Green Bay, Wis. The family includes six grandchildren.

Mr. Welsh and the former Catherine McIntosh were married Feb. 4, 1961, at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown, where they are members.

Mrs. Welsh, a registered nurse, was employed in labor and delivery at St. Elizabeth Health Center and worked for Drs. Molloy and Smith. She retired in 2009.

Mr. Welsh retired in 2009 from Trumbull Industries in Warren.
