Trout stocking, pancakes and shopping in Volant

VOLANT, Pa.

The Pennsylvania Fish Commission will stock Volant’s Neshannock Creek with 10,000 trout March 5, beginning about noon. Catch and release areas will be available for fishing.

In addition, the Volant Volunteer Fire Department will have an all-day pancake-and-sausage dinner. Many of the shops in Volant also will have “fishy” treats for shoppers.

The shops, on Pa. Route 208 four miles east of New Wilmington, are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
