Warren Harding wins prep bowl

The Trumbull County Educational Service Center recently completed its annual High School Prep Bowl competition.

The academic competition engaged students in various grade levels in a contest to answer questions from all areas of study.

The competition was at the Trumbull Career & Technical Center and took place over two evenings.

Warren G. Harding High School won the high school competition.

Members of the team were Michael Coates, Joseph Angelo, Sam Eartly, Korey Gall, Andrew Miller, Allison Thirion, Steven Kines, Patrick Shannon and Sam Angelo.

Kim Hunter was the coach.

Hubbard High School was the runner-up for the high school competition.

Members of that team were Erin Luthern, Kevin Williams, Jonathan Wlodarski, Mitchell Ladig, Lillian Hetson, Jared Senvisky, Sarah Juntonen, Connor Spiech and David Clayton.

Amy Beth Ramey and Anna Schupp were the coaches.

The Trumbull County Educational Service Center provides educational leadership and instruction in the areas of curriculum development, special education and technology.

The center employs more than 200 teachers, therapists, psychologists, educational assistants and other specialists who work directly with approximately 3,500 students in 20 school districts.

The center also conducts professional growth seminars for about 2,000 teachers each year.
