Anime fest at YMCA

BOARDMAN

The Davis Family YMCA on McClurg Road will have an Anime festival from 1 to 3 p.m. today, with musicians, karate demonstrations, origami and cartooning stations, skits, characters in traditional anime costumes and more.

The event is free and open to the public.

Anime is a derivative of Japanese animation, first introduced in 1917.
