Boardman police investigating shooting involving two boys
BOARDMAN — Police are still contemplating charges against a 9-year-old boy who said he accidentally shot his friend.
Police said the 9-year-old boy accidentally shot his 13-year-old friend in the upper arm around 6:40 p.m. Thursday at an apartment complex at 4051 Glenwood Ave.
The 13-year-old boy was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment and is in stable condition, according to reports.
The 9-year-old showed officers a silver .38 special handgun, which the boy said fired accidentally, under a bush near the apartment, reports state.
