Fish fry scheduled

LOWELLVILLE

The Lowellville Rod & Gun Club Inc., 6225 Quarry Road, will have a fish fry Friday.

Meals consist of ocean perch, fries and coleslaw and are $15. From noon to 5 p.m., dinners will be carryout only. There will be no service from 5 to 6:30 p.m. From 6:30 to 9 p.m., sit-down meals will be served.

Kiwanis training set

GIRARD

On Friday and Saturday, Barbara Smith, president of the Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County, will be in Columbus, where she will be trained as an Ohio District Kiwanis Club leadership trainer.

The local club is selling tickets for a street legal-scooter for $2. The drawing will take place in June, and the winner must be 18 or older. For more information on the sale or to purchase tickets, contact the Western Mahoning Kiwanis Club. Meetings are at 6 p.m. each Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield.
