Police probe East Side shooting

Police are searching for suspects in a Valentine’s Day shooting.

A 33-year-old South Side man was shot in the pelvis when he picked up his girlfriend at an apartment complex on Plaza View on the city’s East Side around 7 p.m. Monday.

The man was in stable condition Monday night in St. Elizabeth Health Center, according to reports.

Police said the man had picked up his 27-year-old girlfriend, her 1-year-old daughter and his parents for a Valentine’s Day celebration.

The man told police that when he walked to the apartment to get his girlfriend, three men in dark hooded sweatshirts approached the limo and pounded on the windows. The man told the trio to leave, and as he was getting into the limo, shots were fired, reports state.

Officers said they found bullet holes in the rear window.
