A Niles man appeared Monday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on charges of burglary and receiving stolen property, accused of stealing women’s underwear from an apartment complex where he worked as a maintenance worker.

Daniel J. Krepp, 44, of Robbins Avenue, is accused of having entered an apartment on Robbins Avenue without permission Dec. 18, 2010.

The female tenant of the apartment said she “startled” Krepp when she came home, causing Krepp to flee out the sliding-glass door.

Niles police went to Krepp’s apartment and found 55 pairs of women’s underwear, five of which the tenant identified as having been stolen from her apartment.

If convicted on the charges, Krepp could get eight years in prison.
