Warren Junior Women seek teens to honor

Junior and senior high school students in Trumbull county are invited to participate in GFWC/Warren Junior Women’s League’s 41st Teen Volunteer Awards and recognition banquet on March 2.

The event will take place at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road. The opportunity is available to boys and girls who volunteer in hospitals, Scout programs and school, church and community projects. There is no cost to the participant.

Registration for the banquet can be made with an application from the school’s guidance counselor or by calling Carol Griffiths at 330-856-4959. All applicants must have a sponsor. The deadline to submit an application is Feb. 16.

All those participating will be honored as WJWL’s guest for dinner on March 2. Each teen will receive a certificate and prizes, and the top three will receive cash awards for their community service.
