MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at seven locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Feb. 16: Grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, pineapple juice, wheat bread graham cracker or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Thursday, Feb. 17: Steak burger on a bun, mushrooms, french fries, broccoli cuts, unsweetened peaches, margarine, ketchup, and milk.

Friday, Feb. 18: Fish sticks with tartar sauce, crinkle cut potatoes and ketchup, California blend vegetables, mandarin oranges, wheat bread with honey, and milk.

Saturday, Feb. 19: Deli sub on a bun with mustard/mayo, tossed salad with low calorie dressing, three-bean salad, fresh apple, and milk.

Monday, Feb. 21: Meatballs with barbecue sauce, buttered noodles, french green beans, fruit punch, rye bread with margarine, and milk.

Tuesday, Feb. 22: Veal patty on a sub bun with ketchup, mustard, vinegar or mayo, corn, spinach, unsweetened mixed fruit, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.

Wednesday, Feb. 16: Chicken fingers with barbecue sauce, potato spudster, broccoli cuts, wheat bread with margarine, grape juice, orange cupcake or angel food cake, and milk.

Thursday, Feb. 17: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, lima beans, white bread with margarine, mixed fruit, and milk.

Friday, Feb. 18: Hamburger on a bun with ketchup and mustard, cheesy mashed potatoes, baby whole carrots, mandarin oranges, and milk.

Monday, Feb. 21: Closed for Presidents’ Day

Tuesday, Feb. 22: Steak burger with mushrooms on a Diamond Jim bun, peas, Mexicorn, applesauce, and milk.
