Rogers, Ferraro lead Springfield past S. Range

Ron Rogers and Brad Ferraro scored 15 points apiece to lead Springfield over South Range, 56-39, in an Inter Tri-County League boys basketball game on Friday.

Tim Norris added 11 points for the Tigers (12-5, 10-3), who led 26-18 at halftime, and outscored South Range 14-5 in the third period. Springfield is a half-game behind Crestview and East Palestine in the ITCL Tier One standings.

Brandon Pluchinsky sank four 3-pointers and scored 14 points for South Range (11-4, 9-3), which plays host to Crestview on Wednesday. Dan Good added 10 points for the Raiders.

Girls

YOUNGSTOWN

Mylesia Cotton and Laniece McCrae scored 12 points each to lead Chaney over Youngstown Christian, 61-33, on Saturday.

Zatona Yancey added nine points for the Cowgirls (11-8), who led 29-19 at halftime and outscored YCS 17-4 in the third quarter.

Caylin Hayes had 15 points for Youngstown Christian (5-14).
