Tocks honored at Mass, dinner on anniversary

The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Tock of Niles was celebrated during a 4:30 p.m. Mass on Feb. 5 at St. Stephen Church and during a family dinner afterward at Vernon’s Cafe.

Hosts for the festivities were their daughters, Maureen Tock of Worthington, Ohio, and Marilyn Schneider of Lakewood, Ohio, and their grandson, Mitchell Schneider.

The former Jane Hannon and Mr. Tock were united in marriage on Feb. 4, 1961, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald. They are members of St. Stephen Church.

Mrs. Tock retired in 2001 after being employed as a cashier at Hills and Ames Department stores in Niles. She is a member of Welcome Wagon and Zonta.

Mr. Tock, a master plumber, owned and operated Tock’s Plumbing prior to retiring in 1985. He is a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Niles and a member of the Knights of Columbus 1681 and Church for Housing.
