Abrigg family honors couple for anniversary

MEDINA, Ohio

Mr. and Mrs. John Abrigg marked their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 11 with a family celebration hosted by their three children.

The couple’s children are Denise (Abrigg) and Scott Powers of Cincinnati; Bryon and Diana Abrigg of Wadsworth, Ohio; and Michele (Abrigg) and Mark Lafont of Powder Springs, Ga. The Abriggs also have eight grandchildren.

Mr. Abrigg and the former Joyce Grunenwald were united in marriage on Feb. 11, 1961, at St. Edward Church in Youngstown. For 30 years they worked side by side as owners of Akron Valve and Fitting Co. in Akron. Upon retirement, they reside in Medina, Ohio.

The couple are members of Granger United Methodist Church.
