YSU president speaks to Lion’s Club

Cynthia Anderson, the president of Youngstown State University, was the speaker at the Youngstown Lion’s club meeting at the Youngstown Club on Jan. 27.

Anderson said YSU’s biggest challenge is the continual cuts in state funding because funds have been cut every year since 1993. She was excited about the many improvements at YSU, including the new Williamson School of Business and the indoor sports facility. The school is appreciative of all the support they receive from the Valley.

At the same meeting, Past District Governor Ron Clifton inducted Jen Preisse as the newest member of the club.
