YMCA hosts art classes all week
The Davis Family YMCA in Boardman is hosting an Art and Humanities Exhibition open house from Monday through Saturday. Each day, different adult classes will be taught by expert instructors. With the exception of pottery, all classes are free and all are open to the public.
On Monday, Nancy Hawkins will teach oil painting and Kelly Bancroft will lead creative writing from 1 to 2 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, glass etching will be led by Jeff Vargo and Photoshop will be taught by Suzanne Gray from 1 to 2 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, photography by Rick Fisher will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and crochet by Natacha Keramidas will be taught from noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.
Thursday, guitar lessons by David Joachim will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Quilting led by Linda Lawless will be from 1 to 2 p.m. and pottery with Lynn Cardwell will be from 6 to 7 p.m. The fee for the pottery class is $10.
Friday, Janet Marstellar will teach faux finishes from noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. Life drawing with Nancy Hawkins is from 1 to 2 p.m.
Saturday, Lynn Cardwell will offer pottery classes from 9 to 10 a.m.,10:15 to 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.
