“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): Helping Hand Ministries is a local organization that helps the homeless in Youngstown by providing secure emergency shelter, food, clothing and other necessities. Della Rivers, coordinator of the program, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss volunteerism opportunities, the mission of the organization and recent projects.
Next, Pat Barker, assistant director of the Ohio tourism division, will discuss one-day trips and activities for multi- cultural tourism for Black History Month. Barker will list and discuss activities throughout Ohio.
