LOCAL TOPICS ON TV

“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): Helping Hand Ministries is a local organization that helps the homeless in Youngstown by providing secure emergency shelter, food, clothing and other necessities. Della Rivers, coordinator of the program, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss volunteerism opportunities, the mission of the organization and recent projects.

Next, Pat Barker, assistant director of the Ohio tourism division, will discuss one-day trips and activities for multi- cultural tourism for Black History Month. Barker will list and discuss activities throughout Ohio.

“Increase the Peace” (6:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday on MyYTV): Host Andrea Mahone will be joined by Denis Robinson from Everlife Worship Center. The topic will be “Relationships: Investing More Than You Can Afford to Lose.”

29 Logan Ave. art gallery will have a Valentine’s Day open house from noon to 5 p.m. today with jewelry, paintings, photography, metal sculptures and salvage art. Call 724-981-5652.
