Attention! East High does well in JROTC drill competition
Youngstown’s East High School Army JROTC earned high marks in a drill competition last week at a Cleveland high school. The competition was at Lincoln West High School and consisted of four events: drill team, color guard, raider challenge and the academic challenge. East finished in second place in the academic challenge event and fourth place overall in the drill team, color guard and raider challenge events. These cadets/students participated in the competition; Ernest White, Darien Dozier, Lo’ve Workman, Jonathan Borrero, Kalynn Agosto, Joshua Moore, Nazeer Duncan, Luis Guzman, Aleia Marshall, Andre Holloway, Michael KuyKendall, Lisiyaidilly Flores, Fashion Taylor, Tanisha Lopez, Glen Gabriel and Melina Kline. East High School Army JROTC and retired Master Sgt. Douglas Moon are also welcoming retired Sgt. First Class John Szewczyk as the team’s new Army instructor.
