Shannon Lynn Rummel and Kevin Victor Ruminski, both of Avon, Ohio, were united in marriage Oct. 2 during a 1 p.m. ceremony officiated by the Rev. Carl Kish at St. Robert Bellarmine Church.

The bride and groom accepted congratulations from invited guests at a reception in the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park, Youngstown. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, they live in Avon.

Scott and Victoria Rummel of Cortland are parents of the bride, and the groom is a son of Victor and Joyce Ruminski of Hubbard.

Layers of beaded lace and organza enhanced the bride’s champagne-colored gown.

Lauren Rummel was the honor attendant for her sister, and bridesmaids were Nicole Varley, Allison Tanner, Laura Nochta and Kim Floriani. Flower girl was Veronica Van Dam, a cousin of the groom.

Todd Ruminski performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Kevin Herrholtz, Rob McMillen, D.J. Lawrence and Henry Himes.

Mrs. Ruminski graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College with a master’s degree in business administration. She is a senior accountant with Cliffs Natural Resources in Cleveland.

Mr. Ruminski is a senior manager with Ernst and Young in Cleveland. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Youngstown State University.
