Poland Relay for life sponsors bowling fundraiser Feb. 19

It might be snowing now, but Poland Relay for Life participants are already planning for a hot July weekend.

Poland Relay for Life is inviting everyone to “Roll for a Cure” with a bowling fundraiser from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 19 to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The event will be held at Mahoning Valley Lanes, 2617 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown.

The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. The ticket price includes three hours of unlimited bowling and shoe rental.

All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

This is just one of the fundraisers leading up to the Poland Relay for Life, which is scheduled for July 8-9 at Poland Seminary High School. This is the fourth Relay for Life in Poland.

Relay for Life mobilizes the community to celebrate those who have battled cancer, to remember loved ones lost and to give participants the chance to fight back against cancer. Relay for Life is a grass roots effort of the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society provides resources for cancer prevention and detection, funds ground-breaking research and supports cancer patients and their families.
