Police Chief Martin Kanetsky, who was on paid administrative leave, has been on paid medical leave since Feb. 3. That status was confirmed by Jeff Adler, city law director.
Mayor Rich Keenan placed the police chief on paid administrative leave Jan. 6, pending an investigation of “various charges including but not limited to insubordination, misuse of city facilities and/or property of the city of Hubbard and jeopardizing the health of the entire police department and facilities.”
The mayor has said “no comment” to questions about why he put the chief on leave, who is conducting the investigation and how long it would take.
