Suddenly the powers notice crime

Suddenly the powers notice crime

As a longtime resident of this (un)fair city I am frustrated with the lawlessness that is allowed to fester here. Yes it is a sad day in Thugstown, but why all of a sudden is it a sad day here? I have been howling at the moon four years about this war zone called Youngstown. Why so much attention on this shooting/killing spree near Youngstown State, when other killing sprees here (except for those at St. Dominic) weren’t a blip on the radar?

I felt safer when I was in Saudi Arabia than living in what’s left of this war torn city. These urban terrorists are tearing this city apart and it’s a sad day when cowardly leaders do nothing but talk. These thugs have carte blanche here and a clueless chief and media hound mayor know this. I hope they don’t start that Zero Tolerance pullerover-a-thon anytime soon. What good was/is that?

I know some people will be upset at me for this letter, but I am sick of this lawlessness on these streets. Just last week picking up my daughter from a war torn city school, I saw these young thugs getting ready to battle. There were 20 or so in the street and they wouldn’t get out the way for nothing. A cop lazily hit his siren and did these punks scatter? No! These were the same hoodlums who attacked a kid the next street over. This was Feb. 3, around 3:30 or so.

Lawlessness is allowed to permeate the very fabric of this city. Basic thuganomics rule in the concrete jungles called Youngstown city schools. (I’ll bet that’s why I haven’t been called back this year for a substitute assignment, because I dare to speak out against injustices.)
