Pet Adopt-a-thon planned in Boardman

Animal Appeal, a pet rescue, adoption and education organization in Sharpsville, Pa., will be participating in the National Pet Adopt-a-thon from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Petsmart, 1101 Doral Drive in Boardman.

Groups will display spayed/neutered and vaccinated dogs and cats available for adoption at responsible homes. An adoption fee is charged.
