WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will feature homemade baked chicken, salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will serve dinners of meatloaf, potatoes, vegetable, homemade desserts and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Carryouts will be available.

THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062, South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $6, and the dinner consists of stuffed chicken breast, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie. Drive to the door and someone will deliver the dinner to you. Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.

FRIDAY

American Legion F.D.R. Post 560, 103 12th St. Campbell, will have a fish and shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The menu includes french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, haluski, and bread and butter. Desserts and beverages will be available. Takeouts also will be available. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders can be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders can be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at 330-788-0025 between 9 and 11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will sell chicken pie dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals include potato, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, beverage and dessert. Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, announces a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10. The church is at the corner of Route 46 and Kirk Road.

VFW Post 5532 in Washingtonville will have a steak fry from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the post’s back hall, 575 S. County Road. The cost is $13.50 per dinner, which comprises your choice of porterhouse or T-bone, cooked your way (tell them in the cook shed), baked potato with fixings, unlimited salad with your choice of dressing, Texas toast and coffee. SUNDAY

Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St., across from Wick Park, will be the site of a “Sojourn to the Past” spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Patrons can eat in or take out the meals, which cost $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12. The dinner is a fundraiser for 10 Youngstown high school students who are raising money for their 10-day journey to the civil rights sites in the South on March 31.

Springfield Township Fire Department, 10720 Struthers Road, New Middletown, will have its 25th Annual Valentine Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will be pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, toast and ham. Beverages will be coffee, tea and orange drink. Donations will go toward new and better equipment.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, is selling stuffed cabbage for $15 a dozen or $7.50 a half-dozen. To order call 330-755-6340. Rayen Ave. Proceeds will benefit building renovations in preparation for Holy Trinity’s 100th anniversary celebration.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., is taking orders for stuffed cabbage. The cost is $12 for a dozen. Patrons can provide their own containers and save the $1.25 fee for containers provided by the club. Place orders by calling 330-792-5124 before Feb. 24. Pickup will be March 4 and 5 at the club.

UPCOMING

Brookfield Township Fire Department, will have its fifth annual wild game dinner Feb. 19 at Yankee Lake Ballroom, 1800 state Route 7 NE. Doors open at 5 p.m., and dinner will be at 6. Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. There will be a gun raffle, basket auction, hog and beef raffles and a flat screen TV raffle.
