WARREN

A 19-year-old Bristolville woman is being held in the Trumbull County jail without eligibility to make bond, accused of carrying a concealed weapon and attempted bribery of a police officer.

Emily Snyder of Greenville- Bristolville Road pleaded not guilty in Warren Municipal Court on Monday to those charges, plus misdemeanor resisting arrest, drug possession and underage consumption of alcohol.

Warren police said Snyder was a passenger in a car pulled over on Pine Street near Fulton Street about 3:30 a.m. Saturday for having a dirty license plate.

The officer noticed Snyder reaching behind the driver’s seat and eventually found a loaded handgun on the floorboard in the back of the car, along with an alcoholic beverage and a small amount of marijuana.

Snyder resisted arrest and later told an officer he could have $200 in her jacket if he let her go, police said.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old Cortland woman, was released on $1,000 bond after pleading not guilty to underage consumption of alcohol and having expired license plates.
