Ruling in man’s death not expected for months

It will be as long as two more months before a ruling will be made on whether the death of Kevin Gadley was a homicide. He was found unresponsive in the Paradise Bar after a fight.
Dr. Humphrey Germiuk, Trumbull County coroner, said he is ruling the death “suspicious” until the results of further tests are received.
Those tests include drug and tissue testing as well as further police investigation.
Dr. Germaniuk conducted an autopsy Saturday on Gadley’s body and confirmed police reports that Gadley had physical injuries, but Dr. Germaniuk declined to identify the type of injuries.
“The injuries were consistent with an altercation,” Dr. Germaniuk said.
Police said they found Gadley, 36, of Newton Falls, unconscious on the floor of the bar, 2261 N. Park Ave., late Thursday after an altercation with the bar’s bouncer.
Police said Gadley had some swelling and a small cut above one eye and blood on his knuckles. He was pronounced dead later at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
“The magnitude of the injuries will be evaluated in the light of the further studies when they return,” Dr. Germaniuk said.
No charges have been filed in the case.
