Fraud warning
WARREN
The Trumbull County Senior Services Unit of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department is warning seniors to beware of a fraudulent phone call that a Warren man received last week.
The caller said he was taking a poll on health care and said he was being paid by the senior-services unit. He asked for personal information.
But the Trumbull County Senior Services Unit is not conducting a poll, said Nicole Agani, and anyone receiving such a phone call should hang up and call Agani at 330-675-7096, Agani said.

Assault charges
BOARDMAN
A Youngstown man had charges of obstructing official business and intimidation added to felonious assault when he threatened to kill police officers.
Christopher Cunningham, 50, of Upland Avenue was arrested on Rush Boulevard about 6:40 p.m. Sunday after police received a call that he had assaulted a 50-year-old man at the man’s home on Waseka Lane in Boardman. Police said the man who called officials had a large cut across his head and claimed that Cunningham hit him in the head with a chair. When police found Cunningham, his clothes were covered in blood, and he yelled expletives at police, threatening to kill officers and their families and to detonate a bomb at the Boardman police department, according to reports.
Cunningham was taken to the Mahoning County jail, where he continued to threaten officers and deputies, reports state. He faces charges of felonious assault, obstructing official business and intimidation.
