British ironstone dishes are to be showcased

The McBride House, 27 Hager St., owned by the Hubbard Historical Society, will showcase a British Ironstone Tea Leaf Pattern collection in a dining room setting during its open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The collection was donated to the historical society by Mary Ann Card Soloman, whose grandmother started it in the mid-1800s. Soloman and her mother continued collecting the pattern.
Open houses are scheduled the second Sunday of each month. For information about McBride House, call Cecilia Cooper at 330-534-4247.
New officers for the historical society this year are Jackie Orlando, president; Debbie Shields, vice president; Joan Gibson, secretary; Bob Gibson, treasurer; and trustees Tess Hickey, April Cheney, Dale Alfredo and Ralph Cooper. Their first board meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at McBride House.
On the agenda will be programs and activities for the new year.
