Villa Maria farm to begin program

VILLA MARIA, Pa.
The Villa Maria farm will begin a CSA, or community sustained agriculture program, this summer.
The CSA will allow consumers to support the farm by buying a membership that entitles them to a share of fresh produce each week of the growing season, which begins the first week of June and continues until mid-October.
Share pickup days will be Wednesdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the farm.
Various shares are available, as follows:
Working vegetable share, feeds two to four people, requires 20 hours of work on the farm throughout the growing season, $350.
Nonworking vegetable share, feeds two to four people, no farm work required, $450.
Half-vegetable share, feeds one to two people, no farm work required, $250.
Flower share, includes a fresh-cut bouquet of flowers each week from July 1 to Sept. 1., $60 plus tax.
Herb and culinary flower share, includes in-season fresh herb bunches and culinary flowers from May 30 to Oct. 1, $150.
