Author/counselor to sign ‘Lost No More’

Author and counselor Marilyn Burns of Boardman will sign copies of her first book, “Lost No More — A Mother’s Spiritual Journey Through Her Son’s Addiction,” from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Mocha House, 150 High Street.

The book tells the tragic story of her 23-year-old son Chris, who died in 2007 of a drug-related heart attack.

It details the author’s spiritual growth after her son became addicted to OxyContin and other drugs during his recovery from a car accident.

Chris is given writing credits in the book, which contains some of his original writings, artwork and text messages.

Public invited to meet author

WARREN

The public is invited to meet author Kiki Howell at 2 p.m. Saturday at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, where she will participate in the Saturday Author Chat program.

Howell has had more than 20 stories published, primarily in the paranormal and erotic romance genres.

She will speak about the writing process and read selections from her work in the Quiet Reading Room on the first floor of the main library.
