Canfield divers spark win over Boardman

Divers Ally Chiu, Adrianna Oddo and Jamie Blank finished first, second and third, respectively and the Canfield High School boys and girls swim teams defeated Boardman at a dual meet Jan. 28 at Youngstown State University.

The girls team beat Boardman 93-90 with first-place finishes from Mallory Allen in the 100-yard fly and Hilary Allen in the 100-yard free.

The boys team was a 90-80 victor over the Spartans and first-place finishers included Drew Wellham in the 200-yard individual medley, Gavin Trebilcock in the 50-yard free and 100-yard backstroke, Ryan O’Malley in the 100-yard free and Daniel Bogen in the 500-yard free.

The team of Bogen, Nick Montalto, O’Malley and Trebilcock finished first in the 400-yard free relay.
