Police are investigating a South Side shooting that sent one man to the hospital with a bullet wound to his hip.
Frank Brown, 30, of West Evergreen, was shot just after 4 p.m. Thursday while driving near the intersection of Hillman Street and Chalmers Avenue. He is listed in stable condition.
According to police reports, an acquaintance of Brown told police she saw a dark blue SUV pull next to Brown’s car and fire several shots into the auto. Brown reportedly then limped into the home of a relative, told members of the home he had been shot, then drove himself to St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Police found shell casings at the Hillman Street and Chalmers Avenue intersection. Those casings were logged into evidence at the police station.
