Celebration includes Relay for Life

Walking to fight cancer: At St. Patrick School in Hubbard, students, faculty and families continued their tradition of helping others as they kicked off their annual Catholic Schools Week celebration this week. The school started the week with the annual Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. The Ealy family coordinated this year’s event. The opening ceremonies speaker was Barbara Wheeler, grandmother of first-grader Jayden Johnston, who escorted her to the podium. Mrs. Wheeler is an 18-month cancer survivor. The school raised $1,120 for the American Cancer Society.
