Autopsy set on baby found dead in crib
LIGONIER, Pa. (AP) — An autopsy is set on the body of a 7-month-old western Pennsylvania boy who died after he was found not breathing in his crib.
The Westmoreland County Coroner is not releasing the baby’s name until the autopsy is performed today.
Ligonier Township police are investigating, but Chief Mike Matrunic says the death is not considered suspicious at this time.
Police say the baby’s 21-year-old father reported finding the child wasn’t breathing about noon Wednesday. The child’s mother says the baby appeared to be fine that morning.
