Former Harding LB Rogers signs with YSU

Former Warren Harding linebacker Davion Rogers has signed with YSU, adding a high-profile transfer to a recruiting class that could approach 35 players today.

Rogers was a three-star recruit who signed with Michigan last February but left the team in September after failing to meet academic requirements.

He is one of four Raiders to sign with the Penguins today, joining WR Jimmy May, RB Demond Hymes and OL Ian Folmar.

He's also one of two former Michigan recruits on YSU's team. Former Mooney linebacker Taylor Hill signed with the Wolverines three years ago and led the Penguins in tackles in 2009 before sitting out the 2010 season due to academic issues.
