Downed power lines close SR 82 this evening

State Route 82 East was closed for 1 1/2 hours after a pickup truck hit a pole and knocked down power lines across the road.

Trumbull County 911 dispatch and Howland Fire Department said the accident happened at 6:30 p.m. near East Market Street.

The fire department said there were no serious injuries.

The department was unsure what caused the wreck.

Howland police detoured traffic while Ohio Edison cleared the lines off the road, the dispatch center said.
