Plans are being finalized for the 25th annual Trumbull County Women’s History dinner celebration. Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW, will be the setting for the event on March 29.
The National Women’s History Project theme for 2011 is “Our History is Our Strength.”
Featured during the event will be a catered dinner and a program based on the lives of Dorothy Dandridge and Mahalia Jackson. The two historical women will be portrayed by Vernice Jackson and Madelyn Sanders, actresses with Women in History of Lakewood, Ohio.
Local women’s clubs and organizations will be recognized and honored by E. Carol Maxwell, event chairwoman, and her committee.
A special insert in the program for the event will include a listing of the names of organizations and women who have made a difference in the community.
For a donation of $10 a name will be listed, and for a $25 donation a business card size tribute will be available. For details contact Stephanie Furano at 330-719-5865.
