Man faces charges
LIBERTY
Eric T. Kotapish, 22, of the 200 block of Upland Drive, Youngtown, will appear in Girard Municipal Court today on charges of driving under suspension, drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs-marijuana and fictitious license plates.
Police stopped him as he was traveling north on Route 193 and noticed he had no front license plate and a fictitious back plate. Police also found a tin-foil pipe and suspected marijuana cigarette.
Girl, 5, bitten by dog
GIRARD
A 5-year-old girl from Youngstown received 10 stitches above an eye and on her hairline after being bitten by a dog about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at a residence on East Broadway. The child was with her mother, who stopped by to see a friend. The dog, a German shepherd/lab mix, became agitated when the child’s puppy ran around. The dog is current with shots and license. The Girard Health Department will contact the owner.
Cyclist charged
LIBERTY
Police stopped Eddie Lee Tutwiler Jr., 51, of the 400 block of Norwood Avenue, Youngstown, who was riding a bicycle about 9:45 p.m. Saturday north on Belmont Avenue. The bicycle had no front white light and no red light in back, as required. Police also found a crack pipe.
He was charged with drug paraphernalia and no signal on bicycle.
Public indecency
BOARDMAN
A 22-year-old Campbell man will be arraigned today on charges of public indecency and disorderly conduct.
Police said Seth M. Layton was urinating in the parking lot of Kmart on U.S. Route 224 late Saturday when he yelled out obscenities to a man and his son entering the store.
The man notified police of Layton’s behavior. When police arrived, they found Layton in his car heavily intoxicated, reports state. Layton was taken to the police department on Market Street and issued a summons for Mahoning County Area Court here.
Immunization clinic
NILES
The Niles City Health Department, 34 W. State St., is offering a child-immunization clinic from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. No appointment is necessary, and no one will be refused for inability to pay. Parents must bring their child’s immunization records, and children should be feeling well with no illness, fever or rash. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Parking ban
MINERAL RIDGE
Weathersfield Township residents are advised that there will be a parking ban on all township roads until noon Thursday effective immediately. If vehicles are not removed from the roadway, they will be ticketed. All roads will be maintained throughout this time, and vehicles need to be removed for the road crews to completely clean the roads.
