Complimentary coffee offer on Ohio Turnpike for New Year's weekend

BEREA, Ohio — The Ohio Turnpike Commission will continue its long-standing tradition of offering a complimentary cup of coffee to New Year’s holiday travelers who visit a participating location within the service plazas.

The offer is good from 10 p.m. New Year’s Eve until 7 a.m. New Year’s Day and is valid for one cup of hot coffee at these locations: APlus Convenience Store, Burger King, Hardees, and McDonald’s.

In an effort to help promote safe travel, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be in full strength on the turnpike, patrolling heavily and watching for distracted, impaired or sleepy drivers.

Turnpike users who notice a motorist driving erratically or in an unsafe manner should report it to the OSHP by dialing *990.
