Canfield swim teams sweep Kent Roosevelt

The Canfield swim teams swept Kent Roosevelt on Dec. 20, as the girls earned a 100-83 win and the boys won 125-58.

Leading the way for the Lady Cardinals were Olivia Williamson and Sarah Heaven. Williamson placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley. Heaven took first in the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard free.

Mallory Allen was another top scorer for the Cardinals, winning the 50-yard free and taking second and in the 100-yard fly. Ally Chiu took first place in diving.

Leslie Davis was second in both the 200-yard free and the 500-yard free.

Winning the 200-yard medley relay was the team of Heaven, Williamson, Allen and Jamie Wellham. Taking first place in the 400-yard freestyle relay was the quartet of Heaven, Davis, Williamson and Allen.

Briana O’Malley, Kerra Loomis, Davis and Wellham placed second in the 200-yard free relay.

Connor Brady led the way for the boys team with wins in the 100-yard fly and the 100-yard backstroke. Daniel Bogen placed first in the 100-yard free and Mark Dalvin won the 50-yard free.

Winning the 200-yard individual medley was Kyle Anderson, while Michael DiDomenico won the 200-yard free. Drew Bennet took first in the 500-yard free and Jake Smith was first in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The Canfield boys team took first in three relay races. Winning the 200-yard free relay were Bogen, DiDomenico, Smith and Dalvin. Brady, Anderson, DiDomenico and Dalvin placed first in the 400-yard free relay and Bogen, Smith, Brady and Adam Weiss won the 200-yard medley relay.
