Canfield hockey’s rally falls short

Despite four goals from senior Sean Meditz and one by senior Adam Scheetz, the Canfield hockey team (2-8) could not overcome an early 5-0 deficit and fell to the Brush Arcs 7-5 in the first game of the Brooklyn Christmas Hockey Tournament Monday.

Canfield was down 5-1 heading into the second period, but got two goals from Meditz and one from Scheetz before the end of the second to close the gap to 5-4.

The Canfield got no closer, as the Arcs (2-5) scored two more in the third period to secure the victory.
