A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Dec. 12

Menacing: A resident of the Villager Apartments, 440 Fairground Blvd., reported his son’s girlfriend was assaulted by an unidentified man in the parking lot.

AUSTINTOWN

Dec. 19

Theft: A cellphone was taken at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: An unauthorized charge was made to an account at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Four fuel cards were taken at Penske, 350 Victoria Road.

Burglary: A television and jewelry were taken from a home in the 5000 block of Barkley Street.

Theft: Two LG 55-inch LCD televisions were stolen from Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A wallet, medications and a GPS were stolen from an auto in the 3000 block of Rebecca Drive.

Theft: A “Jane Doe,” later identified as Lisa Richardson, no age, of 640 Bertha Ave., Akron, was arrested for theft of $496 in assorted items at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: Telecommunications harassment was reported at a home in the 6000 block of BerryBlossom Drive.

Theft: $592 was taken from a male victim at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: Six unauthorized charges totaling $744.52 were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Nottingham Avenue.

Theft: A purse was stolen at Rulli Bros., 4321 Kirk Road.

Breaking and entering: Copper was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Black Oak Lane.

Dec. 20

Unauthorized use: A 2002 Hyundai was used without authorization at a home in the 30 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: Police charged Jason Purcell, 35, of 50 W. 97th St., Apt. 3, New York City, with stealing four gallon jugs of motor oil valued at $76.82 at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Theft: A jacket was taken at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Theft: Equipment was stolen from an auto at the Economy Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: An employee’s iPhone was stolen from the shop at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Dec. 21

Theft: A front Ohio license plate was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Menacing: A teacher was threatened at Fitch High School.

Theft: Police arrested a Walmart employee, Kelly Logan, 38, of 469 Clearmont Ave., Youngstown, on a summons for theft of two gift cards at different times which totaled $188.86 at Walmart.

Theft: Police charged Delbert Kellar Jr., 38, of 31 Sheridan St., Niles, with theft of $39.43 in merchandise at Walmart.

Theft: A customer purchased items and loaded them onto a pallet jack to take them to his car then also took the pallet jack at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: A threatening phone call was received at a home in the 1000 block of Mulberry Run.

Breaking and entering: A vacant house was entered and copper cut out in the 5000 block of London Drive.

Dec. 22

Recovered property: A wallet was recovered in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Telecommunications harassment: The incident was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.

Aggravated menacing: A suspect is accused of aggravated menacing at a home in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.

Burglary: A man entered a residence and was scared off by the resident at a home in the 5000 block of Barkley Avenue.

Theft: A wallet was taken from a purse at Walmart.

Disorderly conduct: Police charged Delano Burkley, 31, of 1600 Buena Vista Drive, No. 243, Columbus, Ga., with disorderly conduct charge at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Blvd.

Attempted auto theft: A steering column was damage on an auto at the Babylon, 114 Javit Court.

Warrant: Kevin Kridler, 35, of 616 N. Four Mile Run Road, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a driving under suspension charge.

Recovered property: A bank card was stolen at Huntington Bank, 1732 S. Raccoon Road.

Dec. 23

Disorderly conduct: Police charged Aubrey Coffee, 20, of 2460 Eastwood Ave., Newton Falls, with disorderly conduct after his arrest in the 3000 block of Oakwood Avenue.

Theft: A GPS device, CDs and a pipe were stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 4000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: Lights were torn down, a shed latch was broken and a window was broken at Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.

Auto theft: A 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera was stolen from a lot in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Attempted burglary: A suspect tried to kick in a door at a home in the 4000 block of Viall Road.

Theft: A GPS was stolen from an auto parked at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Warrant: Police arrested Samantha Ward, 26, of 47831 Yando Road, on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge for permitting drug abuse and drug abuse of heroin.

Dec. 24

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Virgillio Rios, 22, of 3615 Shelby Road, Youngstown, for possession of marijuana.

Felonious assault: A man was shot in the leg by unidentified suspects at Kirk Road between Raccoon and Meridian roads.
