No injuries in North Side fire tonight

YOUNGSTOWN

Fire of undetermined origin caused an estimated $5,000 damage to a home at 164 Benita Ave. this evening.

Fire officials said the fire began on a rear porch of the home where it was mainly confined. There was also heat and some smoke damage to the interior of the structure.

The occupants of the house were not home at the time of the blaze, which was reported at 6:45 p.m. Firefighters left the scene at 8:12 p.m., firefighters said.
