Annual Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival set

YOUNGSTOWN

The 51st annual Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival will be performed at 1:30 p.m. and again at 4:30 on Jan. 8 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave.

The festival, a unique offering of praise to Jesus Christ at his Epiphany, will feature the Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival Choir and Brass. It will once again include bagpipers, drummers and a cast of approximately 100 parishioners in medieval costumes.

Tickets for each performance are $6. Tickets for a 3:15 p.m. dinner, with preferred performance seating, are available for $15. The meal will be a traditional roast beef feast complete with wassail.

Tickets can be purchased at the church office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until noon on Fridays, or by sending a check, payable to the church, along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope and a note indicating the preferred performance time and seating preference, to St. John’s Episcopal Church, Attn.: Boar’s Head, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, OH 44503-1095.
