McCamons’ 65th is celebrated at family dinner

The 65th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne McCamon of Columbiana was observed with a family dinner Dec. 10 at the Olive Garden in Boardman.

The couple’s children, Laurie (Bill) Wilms of Columbiana, Alan (Dinah) McCamon of Columbiana and Kevin McCamon of Leetonia, hosted the celebration, which continued at the Wilms home. The couple’s six grandchildren also participated.

The former Leila Mae Reesh and Mr. McCamon were united in marriage Dec. 8, 1946, at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, where they are members.

Mrs. McCamon was employed in the offices of Columbiana Boiler Co. and National Rubber Co.

Mr. McCamon served with the U.S. Army in Italy during World War II. Afterward he was employed as an operator at the Columbiana Water Plant.
