Colers’ 50th marked at open house

Loren and Ruth Ann Coler of Leetonia were honored Nov. 19 at an open-house celebration that marked the 50th anniversary of their wedding. The event took place at the old South Range High School building in North Lima and was hosted by family members.

Mrs. Coler, who is the former Ruth Ann Myers, and Mr. Coler were married Nov. 18, 1961, at Evangelical United Brethren Church in New Springfield.

The Coler family includes their son Bill Coler and his wife, Meri, of North Lima, and their daughter-in-law, Lori Coler of Columbiana. Another son, Rob Coler, is deceased. The couple have four grandchildren, Jeremy, Rachel, Christina and Morgan.

Mrs. Coler retired in 1986 as a bus driver with the South Range School District. Mr. Coler retired in 1992 as an insulator for Heat and Frost Insulators Local 35 in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, including a tour in Korea.
