Amanda Kovach of Struthers and Alejandro Perez of Jacksonville, N.C., exchanged marriage vows Nov. 11 at Bethel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Bret Rizzo officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Michael Jr. and Debra Kovach of Struthers and the son of Robin Pallante of Struthers and Alejandro Perez of Youngstown.
A reception for the couple took place at The Embassy in Youngstown.
The bride wore a white lace and tulle ball gown fashioned with a crystal bodice and a V-neckline.
Bridal attendants, dressed in red, were Lindsay Kollar, maid of honor, and bridesmaids Amanda Watanakunakorn, Aracell Perez, the groom’s sister, and Megan Kovach, the bride’s sister-in-law. Aaniyah Perez was the flower girl.
Andrew Irizarry served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Bradley Wilson, Paul Elias and Michael Kovach III, the bride’s brother. Serving as ushers were Cpl. Richard Sanderson and Lance Cpl. Luis Angel Omana. The ring bearer was Michael Kovach IV, the bride’s nephew.
The couple spent their honeymoon at Julia’s Bed and Breakfast in Hubbard and are living in Richlands, N.C.
The bride studied early childhood education at Youngstown State University and has been a lead preschool teacher at Kidstown Childcare Center in Boardman. She plans to study elementary education at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
The groom also attended YSU and is a lance corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps in Jacksonville, N.C.
